Following these steps will improve your chances of being selected as a scholarship recipient:

Complete and return application as soon as possible. The application deadline (postmark) will be April 4, 2025 (9:00 pm PDT - electronic).
Scholarship awards are based on the applicant’s GPA, Work Experience and Leadership Qualities, with a possible total of 100 points. Failure to complete one or more sections of the application will disqualify your application.
Use the space provided, and be as concise as possible. Within reason, additional information may be included on supplemental sheets (PDF version).
Recipients of the scholarship awards will be notified by the Association by the end of May 2025. Funds will be sent to the scholastic institutions in early-to-mid August (prior to the start of school). All applicants will receive notification by mid-June, 2025.

The mission of the PNWGFA Scholarship is to support the educational goals of students seeking careers in Agriculture, Agribusiness or other Ag-related fields (non-ag career fields will no longer be accepted).
Applicants must be high school seniors, college freshmen or sophmores who have either been accepted or are currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year accredited college or university. (A Student ID number is required for fund distribution.)
Applicants may only be awarded a PNWGFA Scholarship once; previous winners not eligible again.

The following must be submitted (email preferred), postmarked and/or timestamped by April 4, 2025 - 9:00 pm PDT.

A completed scholarship application consists of:

Completion of Application PDF
2025 Applicant’s Statement (space included in application or via separate sheet)
2025 Instructor Statement & Signature
2025 Signatures of Applicant & Parent/Guardian
2025 Ag Industry / Designated Recommendation Letter (or via separate letter).
Properly labeled emailed signature pages, statements and recommendations will be accepted.

The scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, demonstrated leadership, extracurricular accomplishments, work experience and an evaluation by a counselor or advisor.
All recipients must enter school no later than the fall term following the announcement of the financial award.
