Lower Snake River System -
Extended Lock Outage

February 2010 -- The US Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) is planning an extended lock outage to begin December 2010.   Our friends over at Pacific Northwest Waterways Association have put together a great informational sheet on the outage.  

We will be discussing the issue at our Country Elevator Council meetings on April 23rd in Lewiston, Idaho.

Washington State Legislature - 
Stormwater Tax

February 2010 -- Washington State Senator Mark Schoesler has put together an Ag Alert to oppose the proposed bill for stormwater tax.  

Kevin Whitehall, PNWGFA Washington Legislative Committee alerted the Board of Directors to the situation and drafted a letter to be sent to Washington legislators.
