1.   Golf Tournament Space Available - CALL  ME  NOW!!!
I currently have a few spots available if you would like to join us, but didn't get your space reserved before our cut off date.  I have a couple on each day, so call me quickly before they are all gone!


2.   90th Annual Convention & Golf Tournaments - ANOTHER RECEPTION!
FUN Addition to the Schedule of Events...Dave & Carol Gordon along with Northwest Grain Growers will be hosting a Cocktail Hour on Wednesday evening.  After you get settled into your room, please stop by to say hello & have a beverage!

6:00 - 7:30 pm on the 7th Floor in Boardroom 5 (A,B&C)

We are expecting a good turnout for the 90th Annual Convention, unfortunately we have filled our room block at the Resort and only have a few spaces left at the Inn.  Please don't hesitate to call me if you need help getting a room!

Thursday, June 28th & Friday, June 29th

Golf Information...Sterling Haskins (Convention Committee Chairman) and Jeff Young (Golf Chairman) have decided on the two courses we will be playing for the 90th Annual Convention. 
Thursday, June 28th we will play Liberty Lakes Golf Course
Friday, June 29th we will play Circling Raven Golf Course

The Foursomes on Thursday at Liberty Lakes will be assigned by Sterling & Jeff.  On Friday at Circling Raven you will have the opportunity to pick three of your teammates and the fourth will be assigned. 

(Don't forget...at this year's Reception we will have an Auction for Advertising Space on the Back Cover of our Annual Directory.  This is a VERY PROMINENT Advertising spot...don't miss the opportunity to have your company pictured on the back of the Directory for all of 2008.) 


3.  PNWGFA Honorary Membership Program

4.   Idaho Trout Fry - Save the Date
We have been getting calls on this for the last month, it looks like we will have a bigger group of golfers this year.  This event is a GREAT social outing, we get together for Golf and a fun Reception.  The event takes place at Clear Lake Country Club in Buhl, Idaho on Thursday, September 13, 2007.  Please hold this date and join us for a really good time!

6.  Oregon Senate Passes Crucial Transportation Package
Today the Oregon Senate passed House Bill 2278, "legislation that builds on non-highway transportation efforts around the state to expand connections with rural and urban communities and combat transportation isolation in rural areas."  Follow this link for the entire Press Release


7.  2007 Farm Bill - FarmPolicy.com
I wanted to let you know about a website that I have been visiting lately.  This is not a USDA publication, but they have good up to date information on what is happening (or not happening) with the current Farm Bill.  They also have links to the USDA website for the Administration's Farm Bill proposal, specific sections of the proposed Farm Bill and quotes from Legislators involved in the drafting process. 


8.  Surface Transportation Board - July 18th Public Hearing
The STB has scheduled a Public Hearing in Kansas City, Missouri on July 18th, to discuss "issues related to the efficiency and reliability of railroad transportation of resources critical to the Nation's energy supply, including coal, ethanol and biofuels."  Follow this link for the entire Press Release.
