1.  Idaho Golf Scramble & Trout Fry Dinner (September 14th)
Back by Popular Demand...We will be visiting Buhl, Idaho again for the Idaho Golf Scramble & Trout Fry Dinner!  Please join us for a fun filled afternoon of golf, camaraderie, a delicious dinner & great prizes!  During this GREAT event, you will have the opportunity to visit with the Association staff, as well as, its Board of Directors.

2.  CRCC - 6th Annual Legislative Boat Tour
Yesterday was the 6th Annual Legislative Boat Tour of the Columbia River, hosted by the Columbia River Channel Coalition.  This project is vital to the economy of our region and the livelihoods of our membership.  The Grain & Feed Association is a proud sponsor of this worthwhile event. 

Bud Riedner (PNWGFA Vice President) with Kalama Export Company and Ty Jessup with CLD Pacific Grain were both on hand to talk with local legislators from Washington, Oregon & Idaho, as well as, several delegates from Washington D.C.  Below are a couple pictures from the cruise.

3.  USDA Press Release - Temporary Grain Storage 
Yesterday the USDA announced new rules for Temporary Grain Storage for the 2006 Crops.  Please follow this link for more information. 


4.  Washington Farm Bureau Seeks PR Director 
The Washington Farm Bureau has an immediate opening for a skilled and experienced director of public relations.  The director serves as an integral part of our public policy team and is responsible for developing and implementing PR strategies consistent with our public policy goals. 

This is a senior level position that reports to the CEO and requires experience in issues management, media relations, publications, speech writing, marketing, campaigns and hard news and feature writing,
