Industry News:

5.  Very Sad News Last Week
Last week The Columbia River Bar Pilots lost Kevin Murray.  Kevin had been with the Pilots for about a year.  During a boat transfer on Tuesday evening, he fell from the rope ladder into the Ocean.  The Coast Guard and the Pilots searched that evening, but the bad weather made the task impossible.  His body was recovered on Wednesday a few miles from where he fell in.  Our thoughts are with Kevin's family and friends.

6.  USDA Designates Agricultural Disaster Areas in Washington
Visit this link for the press release from the USDA regarding 16 Washington Counties that have been designated as agricultural disaster areas.   Emergency loans available as a result of the disaster designation.
